Thy Kingdom Come & Pentecost
From Ascension day (Thursday 25th May) and Pentecost Sunday (4th June) Churches Together in Wendover is inviting all Christians in and around Wendover to pray for God’s Kingdom to come. Through St Anne’s, St Mary’s and Wendover Free Church we will be distributing prayer resources for this global movement. They are also available on the Thy Kingdom Come website (www.thykingdomcome.global).
From Friday morning the 2nd of June to Saturday morning the 3rd of June there will be a 24 hour prayer vigil. This will start at St Anne’s church at 9am and will finish at St Mary’s with breakfast. At some point early in the morning we will be walking to St Mary’s together.
To celebrate Pentecost together there will be a Praise Service at St Annes Church. The service will start at 6pm and everyone is very welcome to join us and celebrate the birthday of the church with us. If you are musical or like singing and would like to take part in the service we would like to invite you to bring your instrument (or voice!) and come to practice at 5pm that day.
Churches Together in Wendover are offering a training session on how to share our faith. This is a part of the Thy Kingdom Come material. The training is called “Sharing Jesus” and consists of a series of short videos and is mostly discussion based. The session lasts about two hours and is offered on Monday evening (22nd at 7.30pm) and Tuesday afternoon (23rd at 12.30) in the Wendover Christian Centre.
After the huge success of CribFest 2016 at the Wendover Christian Centre and St Anne’s church, Wendover Free Church are delighted to announce that CribFest 2017 is in the making. The event will be on Friday 1st December and Saturday 2nd December. If you are interested in taking part, either as a community group or individual, please let us know so we can reserve you a space and start planning and making your Nativity Scene.
